Alumina Bubble Brick Overview

Alumina Bubble Bricks are ultra-high-temperature, energy-saving thermal insulation materials. Made primarily from alumina hollow spheres, they incorporate high-performance ultrafine powder additives and binders like organic compounds or aluminum sulfate. After forming and drying, the bricks are fired at 1750-1800℃.

Features and Properties

  1. Exceptional Refractoriness:‌ Extremely high service temperature (up to 1800℃). Stable structure under prolonged high heat.
  2. High Strength, Low Weight:‌ Very low bulk density (1.35-1.7 g/cm³). High room-temperature compressive strength (8-20 MPa) – significantly stronger than standard lightweight materials.
  3. Superior Thermal Insulation:‌ Low thermal conductivity provides excellent insulation. Good thermal stability.
  4. Excellent Thermal Shock Resistance:‌ Withstands ≥15 cycles of 1100°C water quenching.
  5. Chemical Stability:‌ Stable in various atmospheres. Low impurity content. Resists chemical erosion.
  6. Energy Efficient:‌ Low thermal conductivity reduces heat transfer. Improves thermal efficiency by over 30%, lowering energy costs.
  7. Lightweight Construction:‌ Weighs only half as much as traditional dense bricks. Reduces furnace weight, foundation load, and installation difficulty.
  8. Long Service Life:‌ Minimal reheating linear change (≤ ±0.3% at 1600°C × 3h). Strong thermal shock resistance prevents cracking during sudden temperature changes. Stable under long-term high-temperature operation.
