Fused Silica Bricks

Fused silica refractory bricks are acidic refractory materials made mainly from fused quartz with a small amount of additives. They are mainly composed of tridymite, cristobalite, and a glassy phase. Their coefficient of thermal expansion is ≤ 0.2×10⁻⁶/℃ in the range of 25-1000℃, featuring nearly zero expansion.

Features and Properties

1. Thermal Properties: Extremely low thermal expansion rate, which can reduce cracks caused by thermal stress; excellent thermal shock stability (water - cooled at 1100 °C ≥ 30 times).
2. Mechanical Properties: Compressive strength at normal temperature ≥ 40MPa, and the softening temperature under high - temperature load reaches 1600 - 1660℃.
3. Chemical Properties: SiO₂ content > 97%, low impurities (Al₂O₃ + 2R₂O < 0.3%), resistant to acid erosion and non - polluting to contact materials.
