Description of Zircon Ramming Mass

Zircon Ramming Mass is a semi - dry monolithic refractory material made mainly of high - quality zirconite particles and zircon - corundum fine powder, together with binders. It is compacted and formed by powerful ramming, and is suitable for the lining and sealing of high - temperature equipment with complex shapes.

Features and Properties

  1. High - temperature Resistance: The refractoriness is >1500℃, and it can withstand the erosion of glass melt/metal melt for a long time.
  2. Thermal Stability: It has a low expansion coefficient and can resist sudden temperature changes (such as the start - up and shutdown of kilns).
  3. Mechanical Strength: It maintains high compressive resistance from normal temperature to high temperature and can resist mechanical impact.
  4. Chemical Inertness: It has no reaction to the oxidizing atmosphere, molten glass/metal.
  5. Construction Advantages: It has strong plasticity in a wet state. After ramming, the porosity is low and the sealing performance is excellent.
