Zircon mullite refractory bricks are high - performance refractory materials. Taking mullite (3Al₂O₃・2SiO₂) as the matrix, zirconia (ZrO₂) is introduced for reinforcement. Through a sintering process, a composite - phase structure is formed, combining high - temperature stability and erosion resistance.

Description of Zircon Mullite Brick

Zircon mullite refractory bricks are high - performance refractory materials. Taking mullite (3Al₂O₃・2SiO₂) as the matrix, zirconia (ZrO₂) is introduced for reinforcement. Through a sintering process, a composite - phase structure is formed, combining high - temperature stability and erosion resistance.

- High - temperature Stability: Can endure high temperatures of 1700-1800℃ for a long time, with a softening temperature under load ≥ 1700°C.

- Excellent Mechanical Strength: The compressive strength at normal temperature is ≥ 80MPa, featuring outstanding compressive and bending resistance.

- Strong Thermal Shock Resistance: With a coefficient of thermal expansion of (4.1 - 5.2)×10⁻⁶℃⁻¹, it can adapt to sudden temperature changes.

- Chemical Inertness: Resistant to the erosion of molten steel and slag, extending the service life of kilns.

- Phase - transformation Toughening Technology: Zirconia (ZrO₂) enhances the toughness of the material, making its performance superior to that of ordinary mullite bricks.

  3. Other Fields: Utilized as lining materials for ceramic and chemical kilns, or as aggregates for refractory castables.
